Blog Direction and Wantnot
Hi potential readers,
This is Heather. This whole blogging thing is very new to me, so please excuse the lack of fun exciting stuff on here so far. I’ve been taking a moment to think about what I want to do with this blog. While my main site is dedicated to being an e-zine for new moms and mommies to be, I was thinking I could use this blog to talk about the trials and tribulations of being a mompreneur, as well as featuring and empowering other mompreneurs. I will probably throw some stuff related to the site in here as well as I’m finding a lot more freedom in terms of being able to use html and linking posts. (Anyone interested in offering up their expertise in blog development?)
So today was rather a long day in my world, but I’ve been making great strides to expand my business and bring Happy and Healthy Mom to the world. On the otherhand, I’m beginning to think that spit-up is a constant in my life. My son has GERD, so he has trouble holding anything down, even solids. However, he is gaining weight just fine so the doctor refuses to give him any medication. This translates to all of my clothing ending up with chalky, white marks due to the enfamil ar formula he’s on. I’m thinking to myself, gee, I really shoulda’ kept those spit-up clothes that my daughter never used. So, I resign myself to the fact that I need to buy new clothes. I guess this time was coming anyway. I mean, I’ve lost at least 30 pounds since having my son, but I’m still not all the way back to pre-baby weight. This, I’m sure, is a common dilemma that we new moms face. It looks like I will be taking on some new grantwriting projects that hopefully will fund my new wardrobe. It’ll be good to practice what I preach and take time to go shopping for myself. I’m sure the time will come to get a makeover, I mean with Christmas and my birthday right around the corner. Let’s “weight” til after Thanksgiving….
