Welcome to Day #2 of our Review-a-thon! Today we will be reviewing Earth Mama Angel Baby. If you have never heard of this company, you need to. Happy and Healthy Mom began in order to help pregnant and new moms to take care of and pamper themselves by featuring products and services that do just that, within easy reach. Earth Mama Angel Baby really gets this concept & offers TONS of different products to help ease and care for pregnant and new moms. Today I will be reviewing 4 of their products that I got to try out.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Tea

Two of the products I tried were from their line of teas, which come in easy to brew tea bags! The tea bags are biodegradable, the tea overwrap is compostable and the 100% recycled and recyclable cartons were produced using wind energy. The first one was “Peaceful Mama” tea, which I received as part of gift basket from another mom. This tea contains lemon balm, calcium rich oat straw, calming chamomile, and a whiff of red raspberry leaf and orange peel. This tea is supposed to help calm your mind and body and is safe for pregnancy.

The other tea that I got to try out was their Monthly Comfort tea with cinnamon, astringent Lady’s Mantle, lemon balm, mineral rich nettles and alfalfa, and ginger.  This tea is not recommended for pregnancy, but is safe to begin using immediately postpartum. It is supposed to help ease cramps, rejuvenate your uterus, and help ease your monthly visitor. Did I mention that it is caffeine free, so it is safe for breastfeeding moms too!

I must admit that I am not “too” into drinking different flavored teas. I am a tea drinker, but usually stick to whatever tea I get in a restaurant or buy the original on sale. Of the two teas, I liked the Peaceful Mama tea better. The Monthly Comfort tea seemed a little stronger in flavoring, which might be attributed to the cinnamon and ginger. The Peaceful Mama tea was soothing and the flavoring was slightly sweet and citrusy. The Monthly Comfort tea did help ease my cramps, so it is worth the stronger flavor. I liked the teas so much, I actually served them with breakfast at my first Happy and Healthy Mom event in February.

The next product I tried was their Happy Mama Spray. This too has the citrusy sweet smell, like the Happy Mama tea flavor. It is very strong and you only need a little to go a long way. For the same event in February, I actually spritzed it into all of the giftbags to help put the attendees at ease.  It contains a blend of lime and ginger pure essential oils. It is also supposed to help ease nausea for those mommies to be experiencing morning sickness, or in my case, all day sickness. They even claim that a deep sniff can help you with “baby blues.” From what I noticed, after the initial strong scent, the spray definitely seemed to help calm people. All of the pregnant ladies in attendance all reported no nausea, even with the event beginning in the morning. Because you only need a little, I was also able to spray the bags for the event we did in May too! It really seems to stretch. I just noticed now that they claim the spray will also help calm down rambunctious toddlers, so I might have to try that. …..

But back to my review. The last product I got to try out, which is their newest product, is the Happy Mama Body Wash.  It contains organic Lime and organic Pink Grapefruit essential oils, in a naturally safe organic olive oil castile soap base. No harsh detergents and zero toxins mean it’s safe for pregnant women and the whole family.  They claim that it helps for pregnancy nausea, though I myself can not test that. When I was pregnant, I had trouble using regular body washes and soaps because strong scents would make me extremely nauseous. The scent of the body wash might seem a little strong to some, so I am not sure if this product would have helped me or not. When I first tried it, it came out quickly in a small poof of foam which was pretty cool. Most body washes come in a gel form that you must use a bath poof in order to get the bubbles. You could probably use this wash sans “poof.” You can definitely smell the grapefruit and the hint of the citrus lime. It was not a floral scent, which was usually the culprit behind my nausea, so perhaps it might have worked? The wash goes on really smooth and is easy to rinse off. The scent is calming like all of the other products I have tried from them.

I must admit that lately I have been either winning or receiving a lot of natural skincare products to review and most of them honestly are not my cup of tea. Some of them are too natural if that’s possible, meaning they smell too much like fresh cut grass and really do nothing for me. Earth Mama Angel Baby’s products, however, are natural but still smell and taste good.

So I am pregnant with #3 and am going to purchase the tea TODAY!! I also experience the all day sickness, and its starting to kick in. Teas always seem to help my belly so I am looking forward to trying them. The spray also sounds great!! I love that you said the product is natural, but not too natural smelling! I giggled! Great Stuff!
