When I told my little princesses that we were on the way to a magical evening with their favorite Disney superstars, Anna, Elsa and Olaf (and some other special guests), they couldn’t believe their ears. I will never forget the innocence and excitement when Isabella said to me “mommy mommy! how did all of the Princesses get here from Disneyworld?!”
Growing up in South Florida, I’m no stranger to the “on ice” events but this one was fantastic! In addition to seeing a familiar cast, (Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Rapunzel and Flynn, and many more), the adaptation of Disney’s “Frozen” was impressive. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I knew that, as it was Disney, the special effects would be great… #DisneyOnIceSFL absolutely delivered.
When I heard my daughters singing “Do you want to build a snowman” along with an arena full of other Princesses, my heart swelled with emotion. Here I was thinking we were going to give the kids a memorable experience and it was US who were having the emotion-filled experience. There were also pyrotechnics strategically implemented for whenever Elsa used her powers. The fake snow fluttered just long enough to seem real and briefly expect to feel the blustery Arendelle cold air against your face.
We live in Palm Beach so we weren’t sure about the drive. We decided to go for it and attend a blizzard of a pre-show VIP experience but we had to brave traffic hour… And, on that day, RAIN. But we did it and the 1.5 hour drive was worth it, hands down!
It was hard to get a good picture of the vibrant colors on the costumes but they were mesmerizing. The girls could not take their eyes of the stage… And they stood and twirled whenever the skaters twirled. This proved to be quite helpful as they were totally exhausted when we got back in the car for the trek home .
All in all, we had an excellent time and highly recommend this to any parent out there with Frozen/Disney fans. 🙂 -TarynP
